The Upper Arlington High School girls lacrosse team won its third consecutive state championship on June 3, defeating Massillon Jackson 15-6 at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Anna S., Olivia S. and Brenna S. each scored three goals, and Megan K. and Brooke S. had two goals each.
“We practiced a lot on moving the ball and being ready for any situation. That’s where this came from today,” Olivia told ThisWeek Newspapers. “We were able to score before their defense was set up and take the ball in.”
The Golden Bears finished the season 19-2. This is the girls lacrosse team’s eighth state championship overall and Upper Arlington High School’s 140th state championship.
