About Greensview
Greensview Elementary School has served the Upper Arlington community since 1965. Today, it serves approximately 500 students in kindergarten through grade five.
Greensview offers the Upper Arlington Schools K-5 elementary curriculum to students living within the Greensview attendance area — approximately bounded by Henderson Road on the north, Kenny Road and the city corporation limits on the east, Fishinger and Lane Roads on the south, and Reed Road and Route 33 on the west.
Upon completion of Greensview Elementary School, students attend Hastings Middle School.
Facilities Master Planning at Greensview Elementary School
A new Greensview Elementary School opened for the 2020-2021 school year. Part of the first phase of the community-developed master plan for Upper Arlington’s schools, every elementary school in our district is either completely new or fully renovated and includes needed space for the district’s growing enrollment.
The completed Greensview project features:
-
76,000 square feet of completely new learning space, with a centralized two-story learning center at the heart of the learning space and an outdoor learning space
-
Six learning neighborhoods featuring 24 flexible classrooms in all, small group learning spaces and common areas for larger group learning
-
A new, larger gymnasium and cafeteria
-
All new building systems — mechanical, electrical and plumbing
-
Safety enhancements including a new, secure entrance and main office
These new and modern learning spaces are supporting our students as they develop the skills necessary to serve, lead and succeed now and in their futures.
This project also provides additional space to meet the needs of our growing school district. In the event that growth exceeds projections, each project has been designed to have a logical place for a classroom addition, if needed.
