About Barrington Elementary
Barrington Elementary School was built in 1939 and serves approximately 700 students in kindergarten through grade 5. The attendance area is bordered by 5th Avenue on the south and Lane Avenue on the north. After completing their time at Barrington, students move on to nearby Jones Middle School.
Principal Carla Wilson
Principal Carla Wilson joined Upper Arlington Schools as the Barrington assistant principal in August of 2013 before becoming principal in August 2014. Prior to becoming a Barrington Bobcat, Ms. Wilson spent more than ten years in Westerville City Schools serving as a teacher, instructional coach and curriculum specialist. Ms. Wilson earned her bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Ohio Dominican University. She also has a master's degree in reading, language, literature and culture from The Ohio State University and a master's degree in educational administration from Ashland University.
Assistant Principal Lauren Barr
Assistant Principal Lauren Barr is in her second year with the Upper Arlington School district with 13 years of experience in education. She has worked for Dublin City Schools for 10 years, filling roles ranging from classroom teacher to instructional support specialist and administrative intern. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Toledo and a master’s degree in educational administration from the Ohio State University. Ms. Barr lives here in Upper Arlington with her family.
